Winner Forster, born September 20, 1994 better known by his
stage name Bridge, is a young, talented Nigerian rapper, singer and record
producer. He was born in Lagos, at age five, he became interested in music.
Under Jayen, he began rapping recreationally at age eleven while in Dansol High
school; influenced by the likes of Jadakiss, Ludacris and Big L. In 2006, he
performed at a freestyle battle show where he met his opponent YUNG in the
final, after several rounds without a clear winner the audience voted the
battle as a draw. This performance made them very popular within their friends
and neighborhood as a result they started free styling and making mix tapes
tracks together and this landed them a spot at JIMMY JATT JUMP OFF. “Music is
my life; music is my food, my drugs. I
am ready to go the extra mile to give Nigerians good music that they really
deserve”.
Bolaji Ladipo, born October 8th, 1993, better known by his
stage name YUNG, is a Nigerian rapper, song writer and producer. YUNG signed
with Bankhead management in 2007, and then in 2011 signed with Storm Records.
He’s the youngest of five children into the family of Mr. and Mrs. Ladipo. YUNG
started rapping at the age of 13 when his cousin showed him the basics of
rhyming and word play. Inspired mostly by rappers Method man, Lupe Fiasco and
Tupac Shakur, Yung developed a love for telling stories in his lyrics. At age
15, Yung had notebooks filled with rhymes, but no beats of his own to record
them with. This prompted him to learn how to make his own beats, which he
combined with his song writing techniques. ”I believe me and my team’s going to
quiver the industry, when you hear our sound coming through your speakers, you
will have to admit that we are really Loud On Sound”.
Olade Brisbe, born July 5, 1994, better known by his stage
name Briss, is of African Cuban and Ijaw descent. Briss wrote his first rap
song at age nine when moving to Adeniyi Jones and joined an amateur rap group
called CR with co-member Tomi Thomas and years later joined L.O.S. He attended
Greensprings High School in Lagos from 1995 to 2011. He’s often referred to as
a “lyrical scientist” because of his unique method of combining words. ”having
lyrical content is only one step, your style has to be unique, and your
audience needs to mark you different from every other rapper”. He’s influenced
by Eminem, Twista and Andre 3000. He doesn’t see only music as a passion but is
highly interested in fashion. “The combination of my team and I will contribute
to long waited revolution in the music industry” BRISS is known to be the clown
of the group and is always ready to have fun.”
Tomi Thomas, born November 9, 1992, in Lagos, attended
Greensprings High school. There, he was in a group called CR before leaving
with Briss to join L.O.S. Tomi has also been a very active member of his church
choir for a number of years. His vocal skill has attracted a lot of positive
comments from music reviewers. He is the voice behind most of the L.O.S
choruses. “LOS is not like every other group or band you know, everybody on the
team has a very unique quality, I’m sure when you hear our music more you will
attest to that”. His musical influences are Usher, R. Kelly and Chris Brown.
The four-man group is endlessly working day and night on new
tracks. Music is more than a profession to these young stars, it’s a passion.
Their friendship is beyond the studio, they are like brothers and they live
close to each other, they started making music not with the motive to become
‘famous’ but because it was their passion. In 2010 ‘Home with me’ was recorded
and released which drastically increased their popularity and hype amongst
Nigerian teenagers. They became highlighted over the Internet to lay Emphasis
on twitter which is the most active social network among Nigerian teenagers
after they released ‘Taking over me’ and ‘Boys are not Smiling’. Their first
single ‘magic’ which featured Shank was released last year July and it got a
lot of positive responses. The song received airplay from radio stations in the
country and the video for the song was released September 2011. November last
year they got officially signed to Storm records and ever since fans have been
waiting for the release of their new music. In Mr. Obi Asika’s words, C.E.O of
Storm Records, ‘L.O.S is what the industry has been waiting for a group with
the right blend of lyrical content and good music” They finally released two
new singles online ‘On Fire’ and ‘Bad guy P’ on the 30th of January 2012 and
the songs a lot of positive reviews. Also the video for ‘On fire’ has been shot
and will be released very soon. Their music cuts across all age groups; they
have what the rap lovers all looking for, they also have the right dishes for
the R&B lovers, and also have the right dishes for those that love techno
music. The group is set to take over the industry because they have right
