Lagos based hand bag and purse maker, Gbemmy Johnson of O’Eclat, will on Saturday, June 23, feature in the second edition of the Creativite – Private Exhibition to be held at the Oriental Hotel, Lekki expressway, between 12-7pm.

The fast growing and highly stocked designer in Lagos, the US and UK, known for her structured designs made from African rich prints and leather, is to introduce for the first time magazine basket, notepads and key wallet designs; this is aside new handbag/clutches designs.

Not new to this kind of creative exhibitions, O’Eclat has been featured in HVS New York Fashion Spring/Summer 2012 Runway Show, and Lagos Style Fashion Week. The fashion and home accessories label was also a part of the first edition of Creativite held last year.

Conceptualized by the duo of Taiwo Debo-Akande and Kehinde Osotimehin, both lawyers but with a deep passion for the creative industry, the exhibition’s aim is to “create awareness for the scores of young creative entrepreneurs out there.”

The maiden edition, held last year at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel, Lekki, Lagos, with about 10 participating exhibitors that included O’Eclat, I.O.N Jewelry, Dainty Affairs, Thots on Tees, and a host of others, was highly attended and garnered good reviews.

This year’s exhibition is to feature a total of 13 exhibitors that comprise of a sculptor, wood carver, artist, cake maker, shoe maker, hand bag maker, jewelry maker, fashion designer, interior decorator, photographer, make-up artist, card maker, soap maker, amongst others.
